Alpina was founded in 1947 in Slovenia (then Yugoslavia) as a small shoemaking cooperative. Over the following decades, the company specialized in high-quality footwear and gradually became known for producing reliable outdoor and winter-sports shoes.
By the 1970s and 1980s, Alpina had established itself as a major manufacturer of cross-country ski boots, supplying both recreational skiers and elite athletes. Their boots became widely used in World Cup and Olympic competitions.
Today, Alpina is an internationally recognized brand in Nordic skiing, backcountry boots, touring boots, and outdoor footwear, known for durability, craftsmanship, and performance.
