Who is behind it

Peder Aaserud Eikeland, who is also one of the photographers, is behind Veggbilder. He has over 20 years of experience with photography and image processing, in addition to a career as a UX designer.

Tor Arne Hotvedt handles social media, marketing and customer service in the day-to-day operations.

We work with the printers Repix in Breim and Rolf Ottesen in Oslo, who print and send our photo art images to customers all over Norway.

How did it begin

Veggbilder.no started as a desire to show off and sell my photos, so that others could hang them on the wall.
With photography as a hobby and a full-time job as a web designer, I started planning the first version of the online store in autumn 2010. At the start of 2011, it started to look like something. It was a steep learning curve to run an online store, even though I had previously helped design others. It became clear to me early on that once Veggbilder.no had progressed past the first phase, more photographers would be allowed to contribute to the image selection. My own photos alone were too narrow a selection. Veggbilder.no currently represents 17 photographers. We now offer a wide selection of images of high photographic quality with motifs and expressions of your personal choice.

We simplify everything as much as possible to make it easy for you to choose an image and see the price. The price always includes free shipping in mainland Norway, and we go to great lengths to have satisfied customers.

Our concept

Veggbilder is a small, enthusiast-run business that sells images for Norwegian photographers. By collecting photos from many photographers, more people can find their favorite photos in one place. You buy directly from the photographers, not from a large, international company.

High-quality printing in Norway (including shipping) is included in the price. This enables us to continue taking great photos. We all have other day jobs and families, so we're not always available by phone or quick with email, but we do our best to respond quickly to important questions.

The photographers and their images are our most important asset. There are many hours of photography and post-processing behind each image to create the desired expression. We have no stock photos. The images are sold in a maximum of 100 copies, 30 for limited edition. All images are carefully selected and processed to maintain a high standard.

We love photography and creating images! We would very much like to share our photos with you so that you can enjoy them too.

The images are printed in high quality on a variety of materials.
