Yoga Strong offers different types of Yoga such as private lessons and group lessons. Our studio is located at Bekkestua.
For companies, we offer Yoga during or after working hours. We also work closely with the military and other organizations with high stress levels. Yoga Strong has developed a separate concept for operative personnel called KTS (Body Control, Tactical Breathing and Stress Management.
Body control
Body control is key: Explore a range of simple and advanced techniques that strengthen core muscles, reduce back pain and improve balance and flexibility. Our teaching has shown measurable results within the US Armed Forces and is now an integral part of veteran work.
Tactical Breathing
In addition, we teach tactical breathing, a method that controls thought patterns under stress by regulating the breathing rhythm and stimulating the vagus nerve in an effective way. This is a technique used, among other things, by Navy SEALs before entering high-intensity situations.
Stress management
Our approach to stress management combines advanced breathing techniques with postures that drive you to focus on the moment, strengthening you both physically and mentally. The result? Inner peace, increased muscle strength and a significant reduction in shoulder and back pain.
International competence
Stephanie Saxlund has a 15-year background in the US Army and has dedicated her time to supporting American veterans on three continents.
Her involvement ranged from hands-on work with veterans to training soldiers from the US Army, US Navy SEALs and US Marines in relaxation techniques, strength and flexibility and tactical breathing techniques. During her time in Germany, Stephanie coordinated the 'stopover program' for the USMC at Ramstein and delivered death messages to families of fallen US Army soldiers.
With over 730 hours of defense-oriented yoga teacher training and a certification as a coach in the US military in stress management, mental strength and trauma treatment, Stephanie has established Yoga Strong here in Norway. She also represents the American organization Veterans Yoga Project, experts in military stress management.
